Badminton - North Island U17/U15 Championships
Teams and individuals competition for badminton for the U15 and U17 age groups. This is the largest annual badminton tournament in Australasia with close to 500 participants involved. Players from around the North Island compete across six days of play.
Entry for spectators is free.

Volleyball - Central Zone Competition
Central Zone is a club competition aimed at teams at a competitive level from the regions of Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North and Wellington. A series of tournaments are played in various locations within the central region over five months for qualification into the National Club Championships.

Rail X 2010 - Model Railway Exhibition
Rail X 2010 is a Model Railway Exhibition featuring layouts from local clubs and individuals from the Manawatu, and from all around the lower North Island.
There will be a wide range of European, British, American and New Zealand (NZR) layouts on display, with varying themes and scales. There also will be some very interesting micro layouts, these are a lot of fun.
Approximately 18 layouts will feature of all sizes, some of which have locomotives running with authentic operating sounds. Something for all ages, so bring the whole family.
Trade stands will also feature, selling new and used items.
Barber Hall. 10am - 4pm.
